Accurately tailored pace and split calculation is a critical component of a well-planned and effective training program. This latest digital version is easier to use and more accurate than all previous versions. It will literally save you even more time as you plan your training, or the training of your athletes and runners.
The Home Screen provides you with the options of obtaining split paces for both Track and Road distances. To use the WILLIAMS PACE CALCULATOR © App, simply enter a Track or Road distance and a time, press DONE and then CALCULATE. Track times are calculated precisely, to two one-hundredths, 0.02, of a second. Road times usefully bring distance times to the closest full second.
After inputting your Track distance and time, the calculated Track splits provide, on a single screen, all of the popular track repetition training distances from 100m to 10000m, plus the Mile, to use for planning and training.

Bill Bowerman’s Coaching Legacy:
The HOME screen allows you to input any Track or Road Distance and Time to calculate your planned training or racing PACE
1. Choose your Distance by touching the appropriate Distance button.
• For TRACK events, choose a distance on the left-hand side (in blue)
• For ROAD events, choose a distance on the right-hand side (in green)
• Both sides scroll up and down to reveal additional distances.
2. Selecting a Distance reveals the TIME input boxes. Touch the boxes to input your time using the keyboard to enter the numbers. The input boxes are 00:00:00.00
• 00 – hours (for 1 hour enter 01)
• 00 – minutes (for single minutes enter 0 first e.g. 07 for 7 minutes something)
• 00 – seconds (for single seconds enter 0 first e.g. 05 for 5 seconds something)
• 00 – tenths and hundredths of a second (enter as it is e.g. 03 for .03 of a second)
3. When the TIME has been entered touch DONE
4. Touch CALCULATE and this will take you to the split times Calculated Table screen.
ROAD Calculated Table
This screen displays the ROAD splits that can be used either for planning a workout or seeing the split times for a race at this PACE – your input distance and time is shown in RED.
The distances at which you are most likely to want training splits are shown in green (ROAD). Additionally, a full range of split times are displayed for easy reference.
TRACK Calculated Table
This screen displays the TRACK splits that can be used either for planning a workout or seeing the split times for a race at this PACE – your input distance and time is shown in RED.
